After three masked gunmen killed 12 in the offices of left-wing magazine Charlie Hebdo, the French quickly took to the streets showing the world they are not afraid. Marching under the banner of “Je Suis Charlie” or “I am Charlie”, demonstrators in France, England, Spain, Germany, and Italy hit the streets creating a somber but exciting display of solidarity. Their message was clear – “We will not change our lifestyles or beliefs under threat of terrorists.”
